To date more than 500 newspaper and magazine articles have been published and syndicated on the subject of Bigfoot and they have appeared in such major publications as the NEW YORK TIMES, the WALL STREET JOURNAL, the LOS ANGELES TIMES, SMITHSONIAN MAGAZINE, the EXPLORERS CLUB JOURNAL, TIME, NEWSWEEK, etc. It is also the location of the Bigfoot Information Center and the Bigfoot Museum and Exhibition, the latter built with a grant from the Academy of Applied Science of Boston, Massachusetts. It is the geographical center on supporting evidence and ideally sutuated for the search and investigative work for Byrne's project. The Dalles, on Oregon's mighty Columbia River, is headquarters for Byrne and his associates. Bigfoot, the elusive creature has left scores of footprints throughout the Northwest for decades, is the subject of Byrne's exciting book. The search for Bigfoot, the mysterious giant primate of the Pacific Northwest is on, and leading the trackers is Peter Byrne, stalker of the Abominable Snowman (the Himalayan Yeti) and a former professional big game hunter in India and Nepal.
